Keeping Secrets Excerpt:
Suddenly the air cooled around her when he shifted his weight and stumbled to a stand, leaning on the wall for support. He kicked the wood, sending it rolling to the other side of the room. Samantha, now believing he meant no harm to her, accepted the hand he offered helping her up from the floor. She ignored the tingling sensation running up her arm, knowing it couldn’t be from the strong hand that held hers.

He took a deep breath and opened his mouth as if wanting to say something, but shook his head instead. He pointed a finger toward the card on the floor and left, slamming the front door behind him. Samantha bent to pick up the card. It read - Donaldson and Sullivan: Architecture and Contracting: Matt Sullivan. Her shoulders dropped. “Damn!”

Samantha now had less than twelve hours to master the art of grovelling.
