With only a few days remaining in November, I wanted to post a quick status update on what's been going on.
Law of Attraction has been receiving lots of attraction (pardon the pun, lol). Reviews are finally starting to come in. I'll post details of the reviews soon, but until then, here's a snippet:
"This is not a hard-core, edgy, serious book. It is light and fun. This is the classic story of misunderstandings, but there are a few twists to keep it new and fresh."
4 stars from Wall-to-Wall Books
"This is a great, light, and entertaining read."
4 stars from Mrsjonsey on Amazon.com
"Once I started, I couldn't put it down. This book has it all, steam, suspense and action to the last page."
5 stars from L.Power on Amazon.ca
Twist of Faith is still undergoing edits. We're about 75% done. I'm hoping with two more rounds we'll be done and then it's off to copy edits. I've received the final cover draft and it's amazing! I love this cover! It depicts the story so well. I'd like to share the cover with you now, but I'm going to wait until I receive a release date.
On December 1, 2013, One Sweet Christmas was released into the world. Sales have been exceptional with this title, and I'm hoping to gain more interest by promoting it throughout the month of December 2014.
I've written over 30K on Hershey's Choice. I'm thinking another 5k and this story will be done. I'm terrible at deadlines and always break the ones I set, so I'm just going to look forward to writing The End on this story (hopefully very soon). A quick polish and then submit to publishers.
I've joined the Trans Canada Romance Writers. I have nothing but great things to say about this romance writing group. They are very supportive toward their members with their programs and promotion. If you're looking for a group to join where fun and promotion are key, I highly recommend TransCRW. They have a writing contest open to all romance writers with a publisher judging the final round! Check out TransCRW today!
In other news, I've started Christmas shopping. I'm hoping to get ahead of the busy season so I can be the one resting on the sofa with a good book in hand while everyone else is frantically running around the busy stores. My daughter and I will put the tree and the Christmas decorations up on December 1st. The weather has been cooperating so far. We've had snow flurries, but nothing that stuck to the ground yet. There's a Nor Easter brewing for tonight, but while everyone around us will get snow, we'll have rain. The longer the snow holds off, the quicker the season can pass!
Until next time, take care, stay warm, and enjoy reading!
