Let's get to know more about Karilyn and her title, The Detective's Dragon.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I got my start in writing by entering a contest with my publisher, The Wild Rose Press. My paranormal romance novella, Werewolves in London, placed in the Got Wolf contest and started my writing career. I live in North Texas with my hubby, a psycho dog nicknamed Hell Hound, a crazy one-year-old dog, aka The Kraken, and a handful of colorful saltwater fish.

He has no choice but to save her, she has no choice but to love him.
If your book were made into a movie, who would you want to play your main characters?
Tough question! After thinking on it, what about Zachary Quinto would play Jamie and Nicole Beharie would play Ruby Parker.
How do you come up with the titles of your books?
I try to have the title relate to both the hero and the heroine.
What does your writing space look like?
I have a desk with a lamp, a book of my wedding photos, a digital photo frame, a phone, a solar-activated bobblehead of Yoyo and a TON of papers. Oh yeah, and the laptop.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?
Gardening, reading, playing with the Kraken, hanging out with The Hubster.
What is your favourite color?
Green, but purple is a close second.
What is your favourite pleasure food?
Cornbread with molasses or maple syrup
What is your favourite season?
What is your favourite television show?
Game of Thrones. I also love the books!
What is your favourite movie?
I can't narrow it down to just one. I love the Star Wars movies, Indiana Jones movies, XMen series, The Avengers (and all the Marvel movies surrounding it). That's way more than just one! Sorry, math has never been my strong suit.
A look she never thought to see directed her way.
Which was a bit unnerving, but not nearly as unnerving as the realization he’d followed her. He stood in the doorway like he owned the place. Or owned her.
Her limbs shuddered like a car without shocks. He. Followed. Her. Was he stalking her? Was he with the ones who tried to kidnap her? What was he doing here? More to the point, how did she get rid of him? Her muscles might be coming out of a deep freeze, but that didn’t mean she could hop off the bed and toss him out the door.
Where was the damn call button?
Parker patted the mattress. Hottie took a step closer. Then another. No button. Her heart shook an uneven rhythm, the beat a warning drum in her veins. Her hand moved faster against the mattress, searching, seeking, not finding.
“Be of ease. I mean no harm.”
She stilled, her hand paused mid-pat as if his words flipped her off switch. Deep and soothing, his voice stroked across frazzled nerves, slowing her racing heart. If he could bottle that sound, women would fall at his feet.
