Guest Visit - Casi McLean

Visiting with me on this breezy October day is Casi McLean. Grab a comfy chair by the fire and join Casi and I for Casi's favourite coffee, a rich, dark roast Italian Brew with hazelnut creamer.

Today, we'll get to know a bit about Casi and get a peek at her new release. I had the pleasure of reading both books in the Lake Lanier Mysteries series, so I highly recommend your grab a copy of both today!

Casi, tell us a little about yourself.
The best way to tell you about me is to share a blurb snippit: "You don't want to know him, he's the kind of man who pulls wings off of butterflies." Her mother's warning haunted her through a childhood steeped in mystery, and sparked a domino effect reflecting what she perceived was true––until she uncovered secrets and lies in her past that changed everything. A transformational self-help memoir, Wingless Butterfly shares a lifetime of secrets like whispers from a best friend and unveils the metamorphosis of a broken child, her struggle to escape a chrysalis cocooning her heart, and her desperation to find love, validation, and self-worth. When the mist of a new dawn settled, the fragmented little girl emerged confident and secure with wings to fly in a whole new world––that child was me.

What one thing would readers be surprised to know about you?
I guess I gave away the answer to this question in my last answer. My first published book was nonfiction, a self-help memoir entitled Wingless Butterfly: Healing The Broken Child Within.

What’s your guilty procrastination secret?
I'm guilty of being madly in love with my two grandchildren, [Attaway 3 & Colbie 1] and I visit and play with them whenever I can!!

What does your writing space look like?
I commendered my dining room, which over looks the lake.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?
Walking around Lake Lanier, listening to my favorite authors on Audible, sitting on my porch swing gazing across the lake, walking around flea markets or watching a movie with my wonderful husband.

What can we look forward to with your upcoming or next writing project?
My WIP is book #3 in my Lake Lanier Mysteries Series: Between The Shadows. In this novel, the portal beneath the lake spirals the hero back to 1865 to save the life of a young woman who's ghost materializes on a secret island floating on Atlanta's mysterious Lake Lanier and implores the hero to help her.
