Good Bones
L. A. Kelley
May 2017
No matter how challenging the case, psychologist Katherine Fleming never shirks from helping a patient confront a painful issue. Her keen powers of observation and compassionate nature have eased many troubled souls, but a homicide detective with a buried secret of his own stirs more than just clinical interest.
The first time Detective Jake Sumner spied the old house, he sensed the good bones. Little did he know the purchase of the property included an unusual tenant far from resting in peace. Can the new psychologist in town help him treat a ghostly trauma case or is his growing attraction to Katherine Fleming best left buried?
With the help of a mysterious white cat and a mystic mirror, Katherine and Jake join forces to solve a murder. Can they stop a killer from claiming the next victim or will their investigation only lead them six feet under?
Between The Pages
This story has a little bit of everything: action, mystery, suspense, romance, and paranormal activity. The author grabs your attention in the first chapter and keeps you gripped to the pages. Jake and Katherine have a sweet chemistry from the moment they meet at the coffee shop. There are multi characters in this story, which could create some confusion, but the author does a great job of giving each character their own unique individuality; from the missing women, to the secondary cast of friends and co-workers, to the suspected killer, to Katherine’s Grampa’s voice, and to Whiskers – the cat you’ll want to cuddle. There are several scenes that make you laugh and many more that have you sitting on the edge of your seat. As the tension rises, you won’t to put this book down. The chase is riveting even once the killer is revealed. I highly recommend putting Good Bones at the top of your reading list. This book is a must read!

Law of Attraction in Audio
I am thrilled to announce my first published title with The Wild Rose Press in 2014, Law of Attraction, is now available in audio!
To 'listen' to my story was very strange, but the narrator, Bob Johnson, did such a good job with pronunciation, emphasis, and clarity. I was thoroughly pleased.Law of Attraction...
Determined to win back Christina, Steven will take the law into his own hands...even if he has to play dirty. http://findingthewritewords.blogspot.ca/2014/07/law-of-attraction.html

Resolutions?
Winter = brrr!!!
What are my new year's resolutions for 2018?Well, I don't have any because I don't make any. To fail is too depressing, so I believe it's better not to temp fate.
I do have hopes and goals, which are easier to accomplish because there are no demands for perfection.
I hope to maintain the regular exercise routine I held in 2017. With December being such a busy time, I've been a bit slack on exercising, but I started a short routine yesterday, and I'll add more rotations as my body gets accustomed to the torture again.
I hope to maintain the protein diet I started in 2017, which has helped me lose those extra pounds menopause keeps throwing at me. I must admit, I see this 'hope' as already accomplished as I enjoy my new way of eating. Because of the higher protein intake and less junk, those pounds are easier to avoid.
My goals are to complete edits on Redford Falls book #3 and get that manuscript sent to my managing editor, and to complete writing Redford Falls book #4. I'd like to add more writing, but I'm being realistic and I'll stick with something I can achieve.
What I hope for most of all, is for the next two and a half months to go by as quickly as possible. I don't like winter, and the cold and snow that comes with it! The temperatures have already been well-below normal and the wind chill 'feels like' temps stuck in the minus low to mid twenties Celsius. I can't even remember the last time I went out walking with Jagger, which puts a damper on maintaining my exercise routine.
This is me, for the next two and a half months...
...and lots of warm fluids, which meets my diet requirements :)
Did you make any New Year resolutions?
