Derailed Hearts Reviews

"This was such a beautiful story. It includes some of my favorite tropes: single father, close proximity, and a touch of insta-love. It’s a fast-paced romance that somehow doesn’t feel rushed at all. I really loved how the romance blends with the emotional healing two of the characters go through after their past struggles. The train scenes were especially cozy and heartfelt, almost like they were already a little family. And that scene near the end? It genuinely brought tears to my eyes. My favorite moment, though, was the one with Avery and Jenn in the forest… so soft and special. If you enjoy single-parent romances, this is definitely one you don’t want to miss."

"With a real sense of hearth and home, author Darlene Fredette once again enthralls her readers with compelling characters whose logical and understandable goals, motivation and conflict warm the heart, making them think about what’s most important in life. This is a lovely story and a terrific compliment to this enjoyable series. Based on a scale of 1-5, Derailed Hearts merits a 7."

“Derailed Hearts will melt your heart even though it takes place on a cold train ride. My favorite part is the giant corkscrew twists that blow the plot apart only to come together for the happily ever after.”

“This is a heart-breaking as well as heart-warming story, well written with compelling goals, motivation and conflict, snappy dialogue and well-drawn, multilayered characters.”

“A phenomenal journey. I felt the characters' emotions, laughed, cried, and swooned during the entire story.”

“A feel-good novel. From the very beginning, we're rooting for the main characters. With a little help from a certain meddling grandmother and a uniquely talented rabbit, true love may triumph after all.”
