One Sweet Cover

As I was checking my email and social media sites this morning, I received a Google Alert on a promo for my publisher, Escape Publishing. Harlequin Junkie had a Spotlight and Giveaway for Escape's December releases, which my Christmas novella, One Sweet Christmas, is part of.

Not only is my title part of one of the giveaways, the blog host also asked for comments on which one of the books caught the visitors' attention and why.

I was thrilled to see that seventeen comments (so far) choose One Sweet Christmas as either their cover and/or read choice!

Here are a few of the comments made:

The cover of “One Sweet Christmas” by Darlene Fredette caught my eye – the colors are striking and the cupcake and the falling snowflakes make it look sweet.

One Sweet Christmas by Darlene Fredette!!! I love sweet novellas and Christmas themed are my ultimate favorites!!!Oh and I love candy and sweets! Plus the cover looks very romantic, which caught my eyes and well, I haven’t read Darlene yet so why not start now.

For once, I’m interested in all the books. All of them sound really interesting. My favorite however is One sweet Christmas. Who can resist a Christmas story and chocolate?

One Sweet Christmas caught my eye right away…love the cover! Then I read the blurb and was sold that it’d be a fun story to read.

One Sweet Christmas Blurb

This is the official blurb for One Sweet Christmas!

It’s going to take more than a few pieces of chocolate to fill this Scrooge’s heart with Christmas cheer. Luckily Candice Cane has a whole shop full...

Candice Cane is not proud of the way she acted after her last encounter with Jackson Frost. Sure revenge was fun, but it’s left Jackson standing, angry and looking for answers, on the welcome mat in her chocolate shop. Now he’s after some revenge of his own.

Jackson returned to his small hometown for one reason and one reason only...so he’s not sure how he’s ended up in a Santa suit in the middle of a chocolate shop, at the behest of its beautiful owner, instead of high-tailing it back to the city as fast as he can.

Jackson wants nothing to do with his small town past, but Candice shows him what he didn’t even know he’d been missing. Can a bit of Christmas magic heal old wounds and offer up a future neither saw coming?

Cover Reveal - One Sweet Christmas

I received my cover for One Sweet Christmas two days ago.

The cover was nothing I imagined it would be due to the design not having any of the ideas I indicated in my cover form. However, when I saw it, I was pleasantly surprised! And really liked it!

The bad part - there were two small errors.
1. The original cover had the woman with blond streaks, but my heroine has chocolate brown hair.
2. The man had a thick beard and mustache, which my hero doesn't.
I requested the two changes, which I wasn't sure they would do, but they did!

I couldn't be happier. I love this cover, especially the chocolate cupcake!
