Messy Desk = A New Project

I'm an organized person and can't work around a mess, but this is currently my desk.

Some writers would take a short break after having one of their books published - One Sweet Christmas available May 14, 2025 - but not me. I'm diving right into my writing to-do list.

My Summer To-Do List...
Winter's Kiss - edit and republish.
Petals of the Past  - edit and republish.
Both stories are in good shape, so only a quick edit is required for both.

But as shown in the above picture, my desk is a mess of paper, consisting of hand-written and typed sheets of notes on a manuscript I started in 2009. Unfortunately, that project got set aside and has been collecting dust.

I'm currently going through my original notes and transferring everything into the writing journal/note book that sits on my laptop. So, while I edit during the day, in the evening, I'll  be working on resurrecting this story, which I'm calling my passion project.

On a side note... I love the redesign of my office! Fresh coat of paint and new art work. This picture shows one wall (yes, I love wolves), but the wall across from my desk has more, which I'll share soon.

March Reads

I took last week off from posting to finish a writing project and start another one. The writing/editing cave is currently filled with inspiration, and I'm riding the wave of determination to get my catalogue of books back to readers.

And...during a visit with my sister-in-law, I filled my tote with the next six James Patterson's books in the Women's Murder Club series.

If I'm not writing...I'm reading.

One Write Word - Beginning

This weeks' one write word is BEGINNING.

I don't make resolutions, but with the beginning of a new year, my focus will be on the following:

Health. As aging begins to battle my body, it's important to stay fit and healthy. I need to find ways to conquer the aches and pains, and maintain strong mental health.

Screenwriter. I want to write a few more screenplays this year and hopefully gain more interest in them.

Writer. Now that I retain my catalogue of books, I need to get more edited and republished. I also hope to finish my murder mystery book as well as start a family drama/women's fiction series.

Artist. I want to re-channel the artist in me and escape into the world of design. Not only will my artistic-self revitalize my creativity, it will also assist in my writing drive and health strengthening.
