An Alaskan Christmas
Jennifer Snow
September 2019
In Alaska, it’s always a white Christmas—but the sparks flying between two reunited friends could turn it red-hot…
If there’s one gift Erika Sheraton does not want for Christmas, it’s a vacation. Ordered to take time off, the workaholic surgeon reluctantly trades in her scrubs for a ski suit and heads to Wild River, Alaska. Her friend Cassie owns a tour company that offers adventures to fit every visitor. But nothing compares to the adrenaline rush Erika feels on being reunited with Cassie’s brother, Reed Reynolds.
Gone is the buttoned-up girl Reed remembers. His sister’s best friend has blossomed into a strong, skilled, confident woman. She’s exactly what his search-and-rescue team needs—and everything he didn’t know he craved. The gulf between his life in Wild River and her big-city career is wide. But it’s no match for a desire powerful enough to melt two stubborn hearts…
Between The Pages
In the opening chapter, the heroine came across as a bit snooty and I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy this story, but as a fan of Jennifer’s Snow’s past books, I gave it a chance. I am happy I continued reading. Erika is obsessed with her job, but once she’s home in Wild River her character softens. The hero, Reed, is handsome, sexy, a member of the search and rescue team, and a bartender…what more could a romance reader ask for. The story heats up the pages with the main characters’ chemistry. Their connection is instant, but their forever has many obstacles. There are some great snowy mountain rescue scenes and a couple of plot twists with Erika’s relationship with her father as well as Reed’s missing father. There is also a good cast of secondary characters, who could hold a story of their own, and I look forward to seeing who the author chooses to star in the next Wild River Novel series. The beautiful cover will draw you into this steamy romance with a wintry setting.
