After a long winter, and a spring that started with below than normal temperatures, the perennials are blooming. The photo on the right (tall stems and white buds) is a Lily of the Valley and the purple flowers on the left is a Bleeding Heart. Both plants will keep their blooms until early summer.I love this time of year when the flowers come alive and the garden is filled with colour. So much better than a long and dreary, white winter. This past week has been sunny and warm, and the flowers are flourishing. Now, I just need to remember to water them! :-)
