Dee usually dresses up according to the weather or her mood, and has a background to match the setting. Dee's doll character and her outfits are created from graphics I purchased and have the copyright to use. However, some of the backgrounds I use are selected from Canva or Pixabay (two apps where graphics/images are available). Unfortunately, some of the images on these apps are designed by AI...and are being labeled as AI content.
As a writer and artist, I don't use AI to write my stories or design my art pieces, so to have a graphic I designed be labeled with AI is disheartening. So, now I have to check every graphic or photo I want to use in any promotional graphic for my books or Dee's background scenes to make sure they aren't AI generated. For Dee's backgrounds, I will probably return to designing my own, but that takes time, especially when I am already busy creating a calendar art project.
Dee will be back, but she decided to escape the cooler weather for a couple of weeks to enjoy a vacation of sun, warmth, and beaches.
