Who knew returning home would contain a cool nip in the air, irresistible chocolate, and a Santa suit?

Candice Cane is not proud of the way she acted after her last encounter with Jackson Frost. Sure revenge was fun, but now Jackson is angry and looking for answers, and standing on the welcome mat in her chocolate shop. Now he's after some revenge of his own. 

Jackson returned to his small hometown for one reason and one reason only. So, he's not sure how he ended up in a Santa suit in the middle of a chocolate shop, at the behest of its beautiful owner, instead of high-tailing it back to the city as fast as he can. 

Excerpt:
She tapped the pen against her chin. Yes, this plan could work.
“Why the hesitation? I thought you’d be just as eager to end our marriage.”
Not just yet. Candy had a problem and Jackson was her solution. “You need a divorce, I need a Santa.”
“What?” He raised an eyebrow.
She flashed a sinister smile and winked, pointing to the clothing bag hanging from a hook on the wall. A Santa hat peeked from the open zipper. “Give me your best ho ho ho.”
“No...no way!” Jackson stepped back, colliding with the wall. “If you think I’m going to dress up as Santa, you’re out of your mind!”
“No Santa, no divorce.” Candy flicked the pen through the air and it clattered onto the table.

Between The Pages
This was such an enjoyable read. There’s a bit of everything – suspense, mystery, family drama, and a spicy romance. August is spunky and Wolf is incredibly charming. He is a tad older than she is, but they make a cute couple and have great chemistry. Though the person behind the murder is revealed early, the plot is engaging and keeps the pages turning with anticipating suspense. There’s a Nazi connection from World War Two linking to the castle, which was a good twist and made for an interesting read. This romance suspense is a hit.

Between The Pages
If you like a romance with a good sense of humour, then this is the book for you. There are so many laugh-out-loud and adorable moments in this story. Lola with the blow-up dolls, the whip cream beards, and Rosie the pig to highlight just a few. The main characters are delightful and the rest of the cast are entertaining. The story is packed with emotion as Lola uncovers secrets about her deceased husband. There is even a side story about two of the older widows. Lots of drama and fun. I’m anxious to know who the Sunshine Valley Widows Club will pick next on their matchmaking list.

Between The Pages
What a great returning start to the Blackwell ranch. This is the first book in The Blackwell Sisters and I’m already a fan. In this story, Big E meets the first of five granddaughters he didn’t know existed. I adored Big E in The Blackwell Brothers and in this story he has more of a leading role, which I hope continues throughout the series. Lily and Conner are perfect for each other. Their interaction is quite captivating. Conner is swoon-worthy. This cowboy steals the show. There’s a little bit of everything in this entertaining read. A great cast of old and new favourites. Plenty of emotion and humour, and a good kick of family drama. I am looking forward to the next book.
