One Write Word - Passion

This week's one write word is PASSION. This above quote speaks the truth that having passion for something can fill you with energy. If you don't have the passion then you lose the power and excitement. This can apply to any project you take on in writing and/or life. Fuel your life with passion.

One Write Word - Laugh

I don't get political on my blog as I know everyone has their own strong opinions on such matters, but I decided to make an exception, mainly because of the chaos and worry that risen since January.

Millions of Americans voted an idiot to be their president. Frump (yes, that is not a typo) won thanks to his billion-dollar minions who's egos are almost as huge as his. Frump is creating chaos not just with Canada and Mexico, but with many other countries. He thinks everyone will bow to his knee and do his bidding, but what is really happening is that everyone around the globe is laughing at him. We all know he is unhinged.

Yes, there are border and drug controls that need attention, but if you look at the 'actual' border stats, the higher numbers are coming from the US! And where does Frump think all the illegal guns showing up in Canada are coming from...his country!

Canada is not for sale, nor will we ever become the 51st US State. Canadians are proud and strong! That's all I have to say on the subject. Oh, one more thing... If you don't like my political view, that's too bad. It's my blog and I'll post what I want. Bye!

Today's one write word is LAUGH because we all need a little break from the chaos and worry.

One Write Word - Strong

As a writer, I've dealt with rejection and disappointment, many times. Rejections from publishers and a couple of agents as well as disappointment from a few low book reviews. BUT I've also been rewarded with multiple contract offers, and there's nothing better than seeing your book in print and getting lots of five star reviews. Staying STRONG is a must as a writer.

One Write Word - Overcome

This week's one write word is OVERCOME.

As a writer, I've had to overcome a lot of fears. Fear that my writing wasn't good enough. Fear of no one reading my books. Fear of failing at something I love to do. But if I had let those fears control me, I never would have achieved my dream to be a published author.

So, don't let fear stop you from writing. Once you overcome the fear, you're one step closer to reaching The End.

One Write Word - Believe

My #onewriteword for 2025 is Believe.

My birthday was yesterday, making this the last year before entering a new decade. I don't put a lot into another year older. I don't feel any different than I did the day before. Many people tell me I don't look my age, and that's the best compliment ever, but there are some days my body feels twenty years ahead of me.

Sometimes I think I'm too old to write and to reach for the goals I want to achieve, but this year I'm setting that negativity aside. Age shouldn't stop me from believing in myself. If I believe I can do it, then I will, or at least try my damn best.

One Write Word - Beginning

This weeks' one write word is BEGINNING.

I don't make resolutions, but with the beginning of a new year, my focus will be on the following:

Health. As aging begins to battle my body, it's important to stay fit and healthy. I need to find ways to conquer the aches and pains, and maintain strong mental health.

Screenwriter. I want to write a few more screenplays this year and hopefully gain more interest in them.

Writer. Now that I retain my catalogue of books, I need to get more edited and republished. I also hope to finish my murder mystery book as well as start a family drama/women's fiction series.

Artist. I want to re-channel the artist in me and escape into the world of design. Not only will my artistic-self revitalize my creativity, it will also assist in my writing drive and health strengthening.
